A FEW STEPS CLOSER TO A PLASTIC FREE FUTURE

We’re making a few small, fun, yet challenging steps towards a plastic free future.

The challenge is the change. We all want change, although where do we start?

It’s like stepping on stones through a creek, one stone at a time, until eventually we raise our level of confidence and we can see a path, and rather than looking down watching each step, we can finally look ahead and see the future.

While this allegory evokes imagery of child like play, for me, it has been anything but, in fact it’s been quite a journey.

I heard somewhere that to expect great things to happen, loss is part of the journey. Like a sacrifice.

For me, the loss was my first business called VATEA. The reasons why it failed, or I let fail, were many. I am to this day immensely proud of the wonderful feedback I received from our customers and the Awards we received. I’m immensely grateful to the amazing content creators who supported me on the journey, to my husband, daughters and greater family for all their support and belief in me and VATEA. Although from the beginning, while I loved our formulations, all the plastic packaging and waste seemed contrary to my beliefs in supporting the Natural and Organic world. There was no true solution. So while I felt there were problems to solve, I felt I was part of the problem.

Six years later, I knew I had to change. I had spent all my savings, gone without pay for six years and while I could have sought potential investors, I wasn’t seeing the true future. So I spent months consulting Industry Leaders, Intuitives in human design and spirit and connecting with my inner self.

Here we are.. VATEA has evolved to Ourlyfe and I’m so proud and confident of what we’re creating!

Yet, the experience taught me two key lessons to share. To keep it simple and work only with the best in design, then manufacturing, then distribution.

The second lesson is keeping it simple and produce a product that people truly need.

With this, I’m thrilled to share our ongoing product development of our unique, plastic, preservative and water free hand wash.

Stay tuned..for our future!
