We’re curious - why did we, as a community, ever accept that luxury must cost the earth?
We’re talking the waste from overconsumption, packaging, polluted substances down the drain..
At Ourlyfe, we're on a mission to remove plastics from the everyday rituals of nurturing our home and body. We’re starting with our daily ritual of washing our hands. Our goal is bigger than one product. We're here to redefine luxury as a force for good, proof that indulgence and integrity were never actually opposites, we just stopped questioning the label.
This is the Art of Living with Ourlyfe.
A house is a home — until it holds you back
As we increasingly see our home as a place to nurture and be nurtured, we see evidence of a growing trend, "wellness real estate". Wellness realestate is now the fastest-growing sector in the world's wellness economy. According to the Global Wellness Institute, the wellness economy hit a record $6.8 trillion in 2024, growing 7.9% from 2023 to 2024, and is forecast to reach $9.8 trillion by 2029.[1] Within that, one category is running ahead of everything else: wellness real estate, expanding at 19.5% annually from 2019 to 2024; by far the fastest growing wellness sector globally.[1][2] It's gone from $151 billion in 2017 to $876 billion in 2025, and is projected to more than double to $1.8 trillion by 2030.[2]
That's not a niche trend. That's millions of people, all over the world, voting with their money for spaces that care for them back. Buyers are prioritising air quality and natural light; developers are answering, with 61% now building wellness-centric design into their projects because 57% of people link wellness-built spaces to better long-term wellbeing.[3] The home has stopped being just shelter. It's being recognised as one of the biggest levers we have over how we feel, think and live.
We think that same principle belongs on your basin, not just in your architecture plans. A home doesn't need marble floors to nurture you. It needs intention. And intention starts small, gutsy and unglamorous, it starts with the objects you touch without even thinking, every single day.
The choices we make, the spaces we build
Every hand wash is a decision. Multiply that by a household, a lifetime, a planet of households, and small rituals stop being small, they become the scale of the problem, or the scale of the solution. The plastic-bottled, water-heavy, preservative-packed hand wash sitting on most basins has quietly become one of the most repeated and most ignored sources of plastic waste in the home.
So we’re building the alternative the industry hasn't bothered to build: a world-first natural dry powder hand wash. Waterless. Plastic-free. Preservative-free. Not a compromise wearing an innovation costume — genuine proof that stripping away what's unnecessary makes something more luxurious, not less. Less plastic. Less waste. Less water trucked across the country in single-use bottles. More care, at its most honest.
That's what we mean by luxury as a force for good.
Nurturing our spaces, and being nurtured in return
There's a fair trade at the heart of "home." We shape our spaces the objects we choose, the rituals we build around them and in return, those spaces shape us right back. A shared soap dish becomes a small act of community. A beautifully designed, plastic-free hand wash on the sink becomes a daily, tactile reminder that care is a value we live by, not a chore we tolerate. Add up enough of these small, considered moments and you get something bigger: a home that feels like it belongs to who you are and what you stand for.
This is the Art of Living with Ourlyfe, not a grand lifestyle overhaul, just curious, everyday choices that nurture the spaces we live in, so those spaces can nurture us back. Community. A loving home. A lighter footprint. That's what we're building, one hand wash at a time — and we'd love for you to build it with us. Join our waitlist here.
Our future is in our hands.
